Time for an URGENT review of Canada's laws on unconventional
oil. We're living with the consequences of loopholes,
concessions, exemptions. Pressure your MP to clarify their
position on this important issue. The Gulf oilspill has
reveal massive and deliberate shortcomings in U.S. law and
practice. Canada has to step up on this, and soon. And
frankly, when we do, it'll be good for business too - will
create trust and responsibility for our "dirty oil" if we do
the right thing.

Logical and fair verdict from Judge Tjosvold at the Syncrude
"tailings pond" trial yesterday. Potentially
precedent=setting and important. Hurrah!
If the environment were a bank we'd have saved it already!
